TankText is operated by Supermassive Corporation (dba TankText), 15807 Booth Circle, Volente, TX 78641. Questions: hello@tanktext.com. A shop uses TankText to text customers who opted in about new livestock arrivals and occasional specials, and to answer special-order texts. This notice describes what we store and why.
If you text a shop
When you text a shop code (or JOIN plus the code) to (239) 438-3474, or submit the shop’s signup page, we store your mobile number, the words you were shown, the time, whether you signed up by text or on the web, and the preference you chose (arrivals only, or arrivals and specials). We also store the messages the shop sends you and the messages you send the shop, including special-order requests.
That information is used to send the messages you agreed to, to honor STOP and HELP, and to let the shop reply to you. It is not sold. It is not used to advertise other businesses. Texting STOP stops further messages from this number. The record can be kept so we do not text you again by mistake.
Message frequency is the frequency shown when you opted in, typically a few times a week plus occasional specials. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
If you text DEMO to (239) 438-3474, we keep your number and those messages to run the sample and to understand interest in TankText. That number is not added to a shop’s subscriber list. Questions: hello@tanktext.com.
If you run a shop
Shop accounts store the shop name, city, ZIP, owner name and email, store code, subscriber list, message history, and billing status. A card is not required to start. The free plan includes up to 50 subscribers and one broadcast every 7 days. TankText Pro is $39 a month or $300 a year. A card is collected only when a shop upgrades, and billing is processed by Stripe then.
Text messaging
Marketing consent is collected on its own, for new fish and coral arrivals and specials. It does not cover hold texts. A hold can be placed with no texts. If you check the separate box on that hold, TankText may text you a confirmation and a notice when that hold ends, and that box does not join you to marketing alerts. Shop alerts start with the shop's name and end with "via TankText, STOP to opt out". The welcome, HELP, and STOP replies name TankText in full. TankText collects your mobile number and opt-in record only to send the text messages you requested. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Service providers (such as Twilio and the mobile carriers) deliver the messages. Participating shops see the numbers subscribed to their alerts only to reply to you and cannot export them for other marketing.
Service providers
Texts are delivered through Twilio and the mobile carriers. Those companies process the phone number and the message in order to deliver it. We do not control carrier filtering.
